Karen Johnson grew up with salt in her hair and sand in her eyes just steps from the bayside Cape beaches of Dennis. After spending the early half of adulthood serving in a variety of corporate management positions, she was finally called back to the bay to serve out her true destiny as a shellfisherman.
Starting out working shellfish grants spanning multiple towns across the Cape, it was Wellfleet that finally settled her. In her words, “Wellfleet is known throughout the World for their oysters, enriched with a flavor no other coast can match.” "Karen currently works year round both harvesting wild Wellfleet shellfish and providing assistance on select shellfish farms."
Oysters are in 25 count bags, Littleneck in 24 and Cherrystones in 30.
Please bring a cooler with ice when you come to pick up your order to ensure their freshness all the way home! Thank you for supporting the shellfishing families of Wellfleet.
